Dolphins vs Lions

Dolphins vs Lions Live: Detroit have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Miami on the road at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. The game is expected to be a close one, with Detroit going off at just a 3-point favorite.

Detroit had a rough outing against Dallas three weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Detroit were able to grind out a solid victory over Green Bay two weeks ago, winning 31-23. Matthew Stafford, who passed for 183 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Detroit’s success. If you haven’t heard Stafford’s name lately, then you haven’t been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past five games.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Miami ultimately got the result it was hoping for last Sunday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Chicago, sneaking past 31-28.

Their wins bumped Detroit to 2-3 and Miami to 4-2. Miami’s offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Detroit defensive front that amassed four sacks against Green Bay, so we’ll see if they are up to the task.

Since the 2008 NFL season teams coming off a bye have gone 168-149-10 ATS. So, if you’d just blindly bet them you’d have made money, but not much. When you look closer, though, you see that teams coming off a bye are 101-70-7 ATS when they’re favored in their first game back. Road favorites are 45-20-2 ATS when coming off a bye.

All of which makes Detroit an enticing option here, don’t you think? There’s more to this pick, though. The fact is, as I mentioned earlier, while Miami won in OT against the Bears last week, it probably shouldn’t have. The Bears had two red-zone turnovers in the game, and after Khalil Mack injured his ankle, any semblance of a Bears pass rush disappeared. Plus the team just looked tired on defense in the Miami heat. I’d take the Lions here no matter who is starting at QB for the Dolphins this week.

Panthers vs Eagles

Panthers vs Eagles Live: The Carolina Panthers (3-2), led by quarterback Cam Newton, led Super Bowl defender Carson Wentz in the NFC’s seventh game of the NFC on Sunday, October 21, 2018.

The seventh week of the 2018 NFL season has arrived! This is the official time, sneaking into points every week and betting lines around the sport. This means the selection and forecast of the entire sector, including the prime time between the Denver Broncos and the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night, and the Minnesota Vikings against the New York Jets and the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon. .

Ruben Frank (4-2)
It’s hard to be too enthusiastic about the Giants’ victory, which has almost no fight. It’s great to see the Hawks score early and complete a team, but the Hawks still do not have that iconic win, and they tell you they’re a true contender. They defeated 1-5 Giants, 1-5 Colts and 2-4 Falcons.

Merge records 4-14. The victory over a decent Panthers on Sunday will be the first sign that the Hawks have the ability to beat a winning team this year. For the first time, it will allow the Hawks to win back to back and recover more than 50%.

Cam Newton is always difficult to defend, but I like this game. The Hawks are generally good for Newton and I like his opportunity at home. If they can cross the Panthers and get out of London to win the Jaguar, and find 5-3 in the middle and in Goodbye Week, then we can start thinking that the Hawks may be doing something.

I think this will be another one of those ugly games, but when it’s all over …Somehow I became the giant that we predicted, and my season is getting out of control. I was very nice last week and I tried to choose the Giants because I was an idiot.

I see this game against Carolina as a very good test for the Hawks. If they delayed Newton and Christian McCaffrey, they won the game. Newton’s performance against the Hawks in his career is not good, I hope to continue the game on Sunday afternoon. I look forward to the important performance of this defense, even if you are in high school.

On the offensive end, Carson Wentz performed better in each game of the season. He almost returned to Carson Wentz at the MVP level. I will take that person to win.

The Miami Dolphins will rely on Brock Osweiler again when they host the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Dolphins head coach Adam Gase announced on Wednesday that Ryan Tannehill, who is still bothered by a shoulder injury that kept him out of last week’s game, will not play Sunday.

Lions vs Dolphins Live Stream NFL Online Game

Tannehill practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday, but did not attempt any passes.

Gase believes Tannehill will return at some point in the 2018 season and did not rule out Tannehill playing against the Houston Texans in the next game.

But on Sunday it will be Osweiler, who completed 28 of 44 passes for 380 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the overtime win over the Chicago Bears. He rallied the Dolphins from a 21-10, third-quarter deficit.

“He did a good job of not panicking when we were down,” Gase said of Osweiler. “He had a couple of interceptions, but he did a good job of moving on to the next series.”

Osweiler’s chief target will be wide receiver Albert Wilson, who had 136 of his 155 receiving yards after the catch in last week’s win over the Bears. He leads the NFL with 324 yards after the catch this season.

The Dolphins, who are 4-2 and are tied with the New England Patriots for the top spot in the AFC East, will be going up against a Lions defense that has given up an average of 27.4 points per game, which ranks 25th in the NFL.

The Lions rank seventh in the league against the pass, but they are 30th against the run, giving up 145.8 yards per game and 5.3 yards per carry.

That may open things up for Dolphins running backs Frank Gore and Kenyan Drake. The 35-year-old Gore is coming off a 101-yard game against the Bears, and he’ll have the added incentive this week of playing against a Lions team that brought him in for a free-agent visit this offseason but decided to sign LeGarrette Blount instead.

The Lions (2-3) are coming off a bye, but they beat the Green Bay Packers 31-23 the week before. Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford had an efficient game against the Packers, completing 14 of 26 passes for 183 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Newcastle vs Montpellier

Newcastle vs Montpellier: Two teams desperately in need of a victory clash at Welford Road this weekend with Newcastle and the Montpellier searching for their first win in this season’s competition.

Newcastle vs Montpellier Live Rugby

Newcastle pulled off a remarkable 26-25 victory at three-time champions Toulon on Sunday. It was a stunning result for Dean Richards’ side with the Premiership’s bottom side upsetting the odds. Newcastle exposed the deficiencies in Toulon’s game and thoroughly deserved their win but it could be tougher this weekend against a Montpellier side which won 21-15 against Edinburgh in their opener.

It leaves both sides with little in the way of wriggle room if they are to challenge for a quarter-final spot in the Champions Cup. Ulster reached the semi-finals last season but have a wretched record at Leicester where they have lost on all four visits and could fall to another defeat. The hosts have won their last two Premiership games by no more than eight points and are backed to edge this contest in another tight match.

Munster should be too strong for Gloucester

Newcastle vs Montpellier

Saturday, 13:00
Live on BT Sport 2 and Channel 4

Munster have a tremendous pedigree in this competition and started this year’s campaign with an excellent 10-10 draw at Exeter which ended their opponents’ winning start to the season. Despite being depleted, Munster held their own and have given themselves a strong chance of progress. Gloucester got off the mark although were unconvincing at times during their scrappy 19-14 win over Castres at Kingsholm.

It is difficult to look past Munster in this fixture at Thomond Park with the home fans likely to spur them on to another victory. Munster have won all their home games this season and in some style with 36 points their smallest margin of success. Gloucester could be overwhelmed by the atmosphere and the hosts are fancied to cover a 15-point handicap.

Chiefs can clinch another memorable win in France

Newcastle vs Montpellier

Saturday, 13:00
Live on BT Sport 3

Exeter have given themselves plenty of work to do to qualify after failing to defeat Munster in last week’s opener. Rob Baxter’s side remain unbeaten this season though having won all six of their Premiership games. Top 14 champions Castres’ struggles away from home continued after a narrow defeat at Gloucester in their first match.

The Chiefs will have to do it the hard way after being held at Sandy Park but a win in France is certainly possible. Exeter pulled off a superb 27-24 win in Montpellier in last season’s competition and another memorable victory could be on the cards. Castres lost at home to Stade Francais in their last home game and Exeter are backed to sneak a vital win by no more than 12 points.

Wasps can get back on track

Newcastle vs Montpellier

Saturday, 15:15
Live on BT Sport 2

This weekend’s all Premiership affair takes on increased importance for the teams after both were beaten in their Champions Cup opener. Wasps suffered a chastening evening after champions Leinster thrashed them 52-3 – a record European defeat. Bath also endured misery after Freddie Burns celebrated prematurely and missed out on a try in their 22-20 home defeat to Toulouse.

Wasps have been hindered by a growing injury list but Dai Young’s side still have the quality to claim a first win to revive their hopes of progress in Europe. Bath may still be reeling after squandering a glorious opportunity to win against Toulouse and the hosts could have the edge at the Ricoh Arena. Wasps defeated Bath 31-26 in their most recent meeting in December and a similar scoreline could be on the cards this weekend.

Saracens should breeze to home win

Newcastle vs Montpellier

Saturday, 17:30
Live on BT Sport 2

It has been business as usual for Premiership champions Saracens this season with Mark McCall’s side winning all seven games in all competitions. Their gritty 13-3 victory at Glasgow last weekend has set themselves up nicely for another strong European challenge. Lyon were beaten 30-21 at home to Cardiff Blues in their opening game last week.

Saracens have not lost since their defeat to eventual champions Leinster in April’s quarter-final. It has been a majestic run from the team and the hosts are overwhelming favourites for this weekend’s game. Sarries are given a handicap of 24 points to cover but a better bet could be to back them to win by 21 to 30 points. All three of their home matches this season have seen them win by this margin.

Falcons could struggle to avoid defeat

Montpellier have built momentum in recent weeks with four successive victories and will be confident of qualifying for the last-eight after their start to the competition. Newcastle could find it difficult to back up their brilliant win in France and have lost all three of their home matches this season. Montpellier’s last three wins have all been by no more than 12 points and the Top 14 side can extend this sequence with a tight victory at Kingston Park.

Cardiff Blues vs Glasgow

European Rugby Champions Cup: Cardiff Blues vs Glasgow Warriors

Venue: Cardiff Arms Park Date: Sunday, 21 October Kick-off: 15:15 BST
Coverage: Live commentary on BBC Radio Scotland; live text commentary on BBC Sport website

New Scotland call-up Sam Johnson makes his first appearance of the season as Glasgow Warriors meet Cardiff Blues in Sunday’s Champions Cup Pool 3 match.

The Australia-born centre, 25, has not featured since suffering a head injury in a pre-season friendly.

Blues, who opened their campaign with a shock win at Lyon, make four changes.

Nick Williams, George Earle, Ray Lee-Lo and Aled Summerhill are all recalled to John Mulvihill’s side for the clash at Cardiff Arms Park.

Summerhill is called up from the bench to take the place of Owen Lane, who was ruled out of the Wales squad after sustaining a hamstring injury.

Warriors head coach Dave Rennie names the same pack that started the bruising 13-3 Scotstoun defeat by the English champions.

Seymour replaces Ruaridh Jackson in the number 15 jersey, while Johnson starts ahead of fellow Scotland squad member Alex Dunbar, who is out with a head injury.

Tommy Seymour starts at full-back after missing last weekend’s home loss to Saracens due to personal reasons.

Zander Fagerson (ankle), Siua Halanukonuka (foot), Stuart Hogg (ankle), Kiran McDonald (hand) and Tim Swinson (lower limb) are all ruled for what Rennie says is a “must-win game”.

“Cardiff Blues will bring a lot of line speed. They’ll attack the ball, Ellis Jenkins is very good post-tackle, they’ll have a real mind-set of slowing us down,” he told BBC Scotland.

“We need to be really good around our ball retention, footwork in the contact, generate really quick ball. They’ve got a number of x-factor players – Willis Halaholo, Gareth Anscombe are a real handful.”

Cardiff has not hosted a Champions Cup match since 2014 and Mulvihill is looking forward to the challenge.

“Last week’s performance was superb and we were deserving of what was a really good win to kick-off the competition,” he said.

“After getting that win on the road, it is vitally important that we back it up at home.”

Cardiff Blues: Anscombe; Summerhill, Lee-Lo, Halaholo, Harries; Evans, T Williams; Gill, Dacey, D Lewis, Earle, Turnbull, Robinson, Jenkins (capt), N Williams.

Replacements: E Lewis, Thyer, Andrews, Thornton, Manoa, L Williams, Smith, Morgan.

Glasgow Warriors: Seymour; L Jones, H Jones, Johnson, Van der Merwe; Hastings, Price; Kebble, Brown, Rae, Harley, Gray, Wilson (co-capt), Gibbins (co-capt), M Fagerson.

Replacements: Turner, Allan, Du Plessis, Cummings, Fusaro, G Horne, P Horne, Matawalu.

Referee: Luke Pearce (England)

Assistant Referees: Matthew Carley (England), Jonathan Healy (England)

TMO: Graham Hughes (England)

Toulouse vs Leinster

Toulouse vs Leinster: European Rugby Champions CupCan anyone stop Leinster? The latest to try halt the champions in their tracks will be fellow aristocrats Toulouse. If you aren’t travelling to France, read on for details on where to watch Leinster vs Toulouse.

Where to watch Leinster vs Toulouse?

The game is live on BT Sport 2 on Sunday afternoon. Kick off is at 4pm, with coverage kicking off an hour earlier at 3pm. There will be highlights of the game on Virgin Media One from 10pm on Sunday evening.

Leinster injury update?

Leinster are likely to be without flanker Dan Leavy, who pulled out of the warm-up ahead of the opening game against Wasps. He is going to be assessed this week, as will Rob Kearney and Cian Healy. Scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park has returned to training this week and is contention to play this weekend.

What of Toulouse?

The French side will be without Jerome Kaino – he is out having been cited and suspended for five weeks for striking Jamie Roberts. Prop Lucas Pointud also missed out – he is serving a four-week ban for striking Bath’s Nathan Catt with his head.

Are Toulouse in good form?

The French side were decidedly fortunate to win away to Bath last weekend relying on Freddie Burns’ ludicrous error to escape with a win. Domestically, they lie sixth in the Top 14 with 19 points from seven games. While they beat Agen 10-0 in their most recent league game, prior to that they lost that 26-22 at home to Castres and, ehm, 66-15 away to Montpellier.

Patriots vs Bears

Patriots vs Bears: The New England Patriots (4 wins, 2 losses) led by quarterback Tom Brady and nervous Roger Gronkowski, in the seventh week of the NFL football game on Sunday, October 21.

The Chicago Bears are slowly accepting with perimeter linebacker Khalil Mack all week. The talented passer was injured in an ankle injury to the Miami Dolphins in the sixth week, but he still dominated most of the game.

In the first two exercises in Chicago on Wednesday and Thursday, Mike missed both exercises. Head coach Matt Nagy said that this is a daily scenario for Mack so far. Adam Schefter of ESPN clarified this on Friday’s radio show.

“Adam Schefter told Gerry Callahan that Bears plans to broadcast Khalil Mack this Sunday,” said Kirk & Callahan’s tweet on the radio show.

In the game against Miami on Sunday, Mike’s game against the Dolphins was the highest in season 62 (79.5%). In the fourth week, he took 51 snapshots (81%), played 50 snapshots (100%) in the third week and shot 42 snapshots (72.7%) in the second week. He played in the first week.

42 snapshots (70.0%). He completed the game with only two tackles, finishing his four consecutive games in a row, at least one fight and one forced to explore.

When he returned to the game after the injury, Mike obviously was not the same player. Instead of the typical sprint that Mack has been contributing this year, he is one or two steps behind the finish line throughout Sunday afternoon. This type of damage may have worked, just like the weather.

The heat index for Miami that afternoon was about 100 degrees. Mike is not the only member of the bass team that strives to perform at a high level.

In five games of the season, Mike has recorded 19 tackles, 5 sacks, 4 forced turnovers and one interception in the next game. His efforts in the first four games helped him win the NFC defensive player’s monthly prize. Chicago’s defense is because it has a new identity in the lineup.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio had to rely less on the quarterback because the first seven on the Chicago team were able to do it independently. In the game against the New England Patriots on Sunday, Mike’s lineup will be great.

The Patriots now have a 4-2 record and sit atop the AFC East division. So far this season, quarterback Tom Brady has thrown 1,599 yards with 1399 touchdowns and six interceptions. The New England team has done a good job to protect Brady this season. The offensive line only allowed 8 shots and tied the NFL with the second.

Mike has never missed a game in his career in the NFL for 69 games in a row. Chicago will return to practice Friday afternoon before posting an injury report for Sunday’s game. The injury designation on Friday will provide a good understanding of the perception of Bears injuries.

Munster vs Gloucester

Munster vs Gloucester Live

James Fish led the way with a hat-trick, taking his tally to five in two for preseason, while Ken Pisi, Cobus Reinach and David Ribbans also notched amidst some excellent defensive spells.

It was a first half that asked plenty of questions of Saints without the ball and while early pressure was repelled well enough to force Josh Lewis into taking a drop goal, Dragons’ second visit ended with scrum-half Rhodri Williams wrestling over.

Though Dragons would continue to enjoy the lion’s share of possession, the visitors were beginning to edge the territory and with intensity remaining up, Pisi intercepted between the home 10 and 22m lines and cantered between the posts.

It provided a much needed foothold for Saints and another excellent defensive read this time sent Reinach blazing clear, Dragons giving up the chase with some 15 metres still to go. Dan Biggar was on the mark with both conversions and after a raft of changes at the break, Saints remained in the ascendency.

For the third time in two games the forwards bullied their way over the line and it was hooker Fish, rejoining at the back of the line out drive, who grounded, Ribbans then scoring some 12 minutes later as the pack continued to show their proficiency from close range.

Having stretched their lead, defence came to the fore once more and while a string of penalties saw Dragons set up camp in the Saints’ 22, a scrum penalty won against the head some 10 minutes later was celebrated as fervently by the men in lime as the tries that had gone before.

And those pats on the back were verified moments later when Saints swept upfield with a series of penalties. The pack drove Fish over for his second of the evening and the hooker was soon celebrating his treble, strolling over from close range after good work from Grayson, Emery and Pisi took Saints close.

That took the final tally for the evening and while there was plenty to celebrate in attack, it was defensive resilience and hunger not to concede that will have perhaps given Chris Boyd and his coaches the most satisfaction in Newport.
